Delma Marie Rourk, 83, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola. Delma was born May 13, 1932, on a farm southwest of Iola, the daughter of George and D. Cleo (Chrowl) Harris. She grew up on the family farm west of Iola, attended Neosho Valley Grade School and graduated from Iola High School in 1950. On June 14, 1950, Delma married Lawrence Rourk and they made their home in Humboldt two years before moving to Iola. They moved west of town to her Dad's home place in 1993. Lawrence preceded her in death January 9, 2015, after celebrating 64 years of marriage. Delma served as director of Hope Unlimited in Iola for ten years, worked at TeamBank a number of years and was a realtor for Thompson Realty. She served on the Allen County Fair Board, Allen County Zoning Board and Iola Area Chamber of Commerce. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Debbie Rourk of Iola, KS 1 Son: Larry Rourk & wife, Angie of Humboldt, KS 2 Grandsons: Paden Rourk & wife, Devan of Mill Valley, CA and Avery Rourk of Humboldt, KS She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant son Leon Rourk and brother George Duane Harris. VISITATION: 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
