Deloris Krokstrom

Deloris "Pauline" Krokstrom, 93, of Elsmore, Kansas, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013, at Moran Manor. Pauline was born February 10, 1920, at rural LaHarpe, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Lela (Laver) Brooks. On September 3, 1941, she married Orville B. Krokstrom in Iola. They made their home at Elsmore after he was discharged from the service following WWII. He preceded her in death March 3, 1970. She worked as a cook at the Elsmore School until it closed. SURVIVORS: 1 Grandson: Michael L. Krokstrom of Humboldt, KS 1 Great Granddaughter: Darylann P. Krokstrom of Humboldt, KS 1 Great Great Granddaughter: Andromeda Krokstrom of Humboldt, KS She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Darrell Leon Krokstrom in 1971, 4 brothers Loren, Ardell, Cecil and Alva Brooks and 3 sisters Bonnie Kinman, Georgia Brixey and Lola Mailes. VISITATION & GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola for visitation before leaving for the Elsmore Cemetery where graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, is in charge of arrangements.
