Dennis Catron

Dennis Lee Catron, Sr., 60, of Moran, Kansas, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the V.A. Medical Center in Topeka. Dennis was born September 13, 1952, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Albun Edward and Lora Elizabeth (Prock) Catron. He graduated from Iola High School and served in the United States Navy for three years. He drove a truck most of his working life and managed the Best Western Motel in Iola for three years. On October 17, 1970, Dennis married Nancy Pollett and they later divorced. He and Anita (Jones) Cranor were married January 30, 1981. They made their home in LaCygne for eight years before moving to Iola. They just recently moved to Moran. He was a member of the Iola American Legion and the Iola Elks Lodge. SURVIVORS: His wife: Anita Catron of the home 2 Sons: Dennis Catron, Jr. of Iola, and Chris Catron & wife, Frances of Moran, KS 1 Daughter: Angie Nash & husband, Jack of LaCygne, KS 8 Grandchildren: Kayla, Aaron, Garrett, Hayley, Chantal, Jacoby, Tara & Ashley 2 Great Grandchildren 1 Brother: Mike Catron & wife, Marla of Grand Bay, Alabama 2 Sisters: Becky Cleaver & husband, Harlan of Iola and Carol Wilkins & significant other, John Shores of Iola Numerous Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by his parents. VISITATION: 7:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
