Dennis Ray Lushbough, Jr

Dennis "Jay" Ray Lushbough, Jr. disappeared from his family's lives on August 13, 2017, he was found again on March 18, 2023.

Dennis was born on October 16, 1972, to Dennis Lushbough Sr. and Sherry Russell in Iola, Kansas.

Jay attended school in Iola, Kansas and graduated with the class of 1991. After graduating he entered the United States military and served in the Navy. After discharge, he began working in the construction business, working numerous years between Spring Hill, Kansas, and Arkansas. He then met Samantha Beech who became his wife in 1996. Through this marriage he acquired a great piece of his life, James "Andy" Beech.
In his spare time Jay enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and just being outdoors. For those that knew Jay, know he had a kind heart and cherished his family.

Jay is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Juanita McHaley and Sonny Lushbough and maternal grandparents, Katie and Clarence Alumbaugh; step-father, Harley Russell; aunt and uncle, Lori and Gary Lushbough and uncle Ted Alumbaugh.

He is survived by his mother; father; step-mother Angela Lushbough; step-son; step-brothers, Rocky Smith and Alex Smith; aunt and uncle Terry and Caryn Lushbough; uncle Walter Alumbaugh; numerous cousins and other family members.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday November 4, 2023, at 10:30 A.M., at the Iola Township Cemetery, Piqua, Kansas.

Memorial contributions are suggested to D.A.R.E. and can be left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 U.S. HWY 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
