Don Northcutt

Donald Lloyd "Don" Northcutt, 77, of Gas, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at his home. Don was born March 2, 1938, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Lloyd Sanford and Mamie Pearl (Gregg) Northcutt. He grew up in Iola, graduated from Iola High School and served in the U.S. Navy. On March 7, 1991, Don married Andrea L. Boucher and they have always made their home in Gas. He worked at H.K. Porter in Chanute and retired from HBD Industries after 44 years. Don enjoyed restoring antiques, bowling and playing pool. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and Iola Elks. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Andrea L. Northcutt of the home, 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 1 brother, Lloyd "Sonny" Northcutt & wife, Sandy of LaHarpe, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Lewis. Per Don's request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) and may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
