Donald Eugene Meyer

Donald Eugene Meyer, age 87, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at his home.
Don was the son of Rapheal and Delphia Meyer. He was born on March 19, 1936, in Topeka, Kansas.
He served in the Air Force and was in the Korean War from 1950 - 1953. He was a Pilot and Staff Sargeant.
Don married Patricia in 1959, and to this union they had two children, Tammy and Tracy Meyer. He is survived by both children, and one granddaughter, Jessica, and great-granddaughter, Ariana. They later divorced.
He married Betty Jean Hubbard on February 3, 1974, and to this union came a family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Don and Betty enjoyed working together at the salvage yard and traveling. They lived at Rantoul, Blue Mound, and Branson, where they bought a cabin in Fall Creek. They opened a shop on 76 Highway, and he made turquoise jewelry. In 1994, they purchased land at Richter, Kansas, and built their forever home until their deaths.
Don worked for Richardson Jump Start and Sams Club for many years. He took up scroll sawing and enjoyed it so much. He also enjoyed mowing, playing instruments, and singing. Don was a member of the 4 Square Church in Ottawa.
Don is and will be forever missed.
