Donna Mae (Badders) Cannady-Meyer, age 81, of Ottawa, went to meet her Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018 at her home. She was born December 19, 1936 near Bush City, Kansas, the daughter of Darwin Dee and Roberta Mae (McGinnis) Badders. She attended Willow Branch School and graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1954. Donna married Richard Cannady and later divorced. This union was blessed with two sons, Frank and Roger. She moved to Ottawa in 1953 and lived the rest of her life in Franklin County. She worked for Kansasland Packing and Marvin’s Meat Market as a meat wrapper, meat cutter and assistant manager for 23 years. Donna worked for H.D. Lee Company and Allied Signal Company, where she retired from in 2001. Donna was an avid fan of country and gospel music. She married Donald Meyer in July 2005, the love of her life. They enjoyed going to country music opry’s and listening to it on the radio and television. Donna loved her grandchildren and many friends. She was a member of the Community Four Square Church, Eagle’s Auxiliary #2700, G.A.R. of Princeton, and attended the Richter United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and Roberta Badders; one son, Frank Cannady; and three brothers, Darwin, Claude and Ronald Badders. Donna is survived by her husband, Don Meyer, of the home; son, Roger Cannady Sr.; grandchildren, Roger Cannady, Jr., Pepper Hamilton, and Christina Livingston; great grandchildren, Roger Dale Cannady III, Alex Dean Cannady, Shelby, Perry, Destiny, Precious and Jaylene; eight brothers, Clifford Badders and wife Gypsy of Ottawa, Kansas, Gerald Badders of Osawatomie, Kansas, Donald Badders and wife Millie of Iola, Kansas; Doug Badders of Welda, Kansas; Rodney Badders of Ottawa, Kansas; John Badders of Olathe, Kansas; and two sisters, Delores Willis and husband Roy of Ottawa, Kansas; and Norma Tahash of Summit City, California. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, November 19, 2018, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Condolences to the family may be left at
