Doris L. Rogers

Doris Lee Rogers, age 87, of Iola, Kansas, passed away September 18, 2023, at Moran Manor, Moran, Kansas. Doris was born August 12, 1936, in Richmond, Kansas, to Robert Crick and Gladys (West) Crick.

Doris and Dale Weien were married in 1951 and had two sons. They later divorced. She married Elvin Holtz and they had a son and a daughter. They divorced. Doris and Edward L. Rogers married in July 1989 and he passed February 9, 1991.

Doris worked in food service as a waitress in area restaurants. Doris enjoyed working in local restaurants, where she made a lot of friends and enjoyed visiting with her customers.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Rogers; and her parents.

Doris is survived by her children, Ronnie Weien, James Weien, Louis Holtz, Leona Holtz; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kansas. Doris will be interred next to her parents in Richmond Cemetery.
