Dormand Melte

Dormand Eugene "Gene" Melte, 73, of Moran, Kansas, died Monday, August 17, 2009, at his home. He was born July 21, 1936, in Brookfield, Missouri, the son of Charles and Mildred (Bennett) Melte. He grew up in the Kansas City area. Gene made his home in Blue Mound before moving to Iola. He moved to Moran two years ago after his home was flooded. Survivors include a brother, Robert Morris & his wife, Della of Blue Mound, Kansas, and a sister, Patricia Mudd & her husband, Donald of Raytown, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Zona Voydson. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public service.
