Dorothy Sallee

Dorothy Ann Sallee, 79, formerly of LaHarpe, Kansas, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Pittsburg, Kansas. Dorothy was born November 6, 1934, in Hepler, Kansas, the daughter of Albert L. and Easter Lily (Hutton) Brown. She grew up in LaHarpe most of her life and was a graduate of LaHarpe High School. On July 21, 1952, Dorothy married Gerald Dean Sallee and they made their home in the LaHarpe area. He preceded her in death June 11, 1995. Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed baking, cleaning house and listening to Elvis Presley. SURVIVORS: 3 Sons: Terry Dean Sallee & wife, Hellen of Weir, KS, Rick Sallee & wife, Cherry of Colorado Springs, CO and Michael Sallee of Lawrence, KS 4 Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren and several great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Donald and Gary Brown. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
