Dorothy Strickland

Dorothy Jean Strickland, 70, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at the Moran Manor in Moran, Kansas. Dorothy was born August 22, 1944, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Harold Ray and Jean Alice ( Conrad ) Elder. The family lived in Iola before moving to Coffeyville where she graduated from high school. Dorothy attended Bible Baptist College in Springfield, Missouri for two years. She married Ernest Strickland and they made their home in Wichita. He preceded her in death. Dorothy has lived in the Iola area for the past couple of years. SURVIVORS: 1 son: Ed Strickland and wife Harriet of Camdenton, Missouri 1 daughter: Renee Strickland of Camdenton, Missouri 2 sisters: JoAnn Fuller and husband Roy of Plano, Texas and Carol Mason and husband George of Bethany, Oklahoma 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren Cremation has taken place.
