Dorothy Treat

Dorothy Duncan Treat, 85, formerly of Iola, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler, Kansas. Dorothy was born June 16, 1927, in Paragould, Arkansas, the daughter of Floyd L. and Edith F. (McDonald) Eubanks. She grew up in Arkansas and Louisiana. In 1950, Dorothy married Dean Duncan and they made their home in Missouri before moving to Iola in 1952. They were later divorced. On March 22, 1980, Dorothy married Jay L. Treat and he preceded her in death July 3, 1995. SURVIVORS: 2 Daughters: Carolyn Sebbert and husband, Chuck of New Braunfels, Texas, and Terri Duncan-Watt and husband, George of McPherson, Kansas 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Granddaughters with 1 Great Granddaughter on the way She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Lee Duncan in 1974, and an infant sister. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
