Dorrall Jarred

Dorrall Lee Jarred, 85, of rural Humboldt, Kansas, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Iola, Kansas. He was born June 10, 1929, at Altoona, Kansas, the son of Roy L. and Nina Mae ( Lawson ) Jarred. He graduated from Moran High School in 1946 and farmed all his life. On May 22, 1949, Dorrall married Vaughn De Lee Lagergren and they made their home on a farm west of Elsmore until moving to the farm east of Humboldt in 1952. Survivors: Wife Vaughn De Lee Three sons; DeWayne Jarred and wife Georganna of Iola, Jim Jarred and wife Lorie of Humboldt, and Phil Jarred and wife Karen of Chanute. One daughter; Carol Ross of Iola Two sisters; Ruby Owens of Iola and Berdean Wall of Moran Eleven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda English and Arlene Jones VISITATION 7:00 until 9:00 Monday evening August 25th at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola. GRAVESIDE SERVICES Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel to leave for graveside services to be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Swedish Cemetery west of Savonburg.
