Dorothy B. "Dottie" Young, 94, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Tara Gardens in Iola. Dottie was born June 16, 1919, in Henry, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Christina (Schlosser) Hank. She was baptized in the Catholic Church and was retired from Gates Rubber Company. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Jan Scheibmeir & husband, Donald of Piqua, KS 4 Granddaughters: Cindy Spoon & husband, Bill of Aubrey, TX, Cathy West & husband, Tim of Yates Center, KS, Cheryl Fulsom & husband, Doyle of Hankamer, TX, and Chris Sevart & husband, Doug of Buffalo, KS 3 Great Grandsons: Jeremy Heckman of Kema, TX, Nicholas Duncan of Iola, KS and Jared Fulsom of Hankamer, TX 1 Great Great Granddaughter: Hannah Duncan of LaHarpe, KS 7 Step-Grandchildren, 16 Step Great-Grandchildren and 18 Step Great-Great-Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, William, Clarence and Harold Hank. Cremation has taken place. ROSARY & MASS: The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola followed by the mass at 10:30 a.m. INURNMENT: Calvary Cemetery, Henry, IL, at a later date IN LIEU OF FLOWERS: Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
