Douglas E. Collins

Douglas E. Collins, age 54, of Olathe, Kansas, died on Monday, August 10, 2009, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. Doug was born on February 2, 1955, at Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Henry and Carolee (Easdale) Collins. He grew up in the area, and graduated from Baldwin High School. On September 22, 1984, he married Susan Cleveland in Olathe, Kansas. This union was blessed with one daughter, Maggie. He worked in the Water Line Maintenance department for the City of Olathe. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Carolee Collins, and his sister, Carmen Crouse. He is survived by his wife, Susan Collins, of the home; his daughter, Maggie Collins also of the home; his mother-in-law June Cleveland of Garnett, Kansas; and sisters-in-law Phyllis Marmon of Topeka, Kansas and Rinda Hardman of Olathe, Kansas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett, Kansas.
