Earlene Kincheloe, 89 of Iola passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Windsor Place in Iola. Earlene was born to Earl and Esther Lombard on June 30, 1927 in Dewey, Oklahoma. She graduated from Garnett High School in 1946. After spending most of her life in various locations in Anderson and Allen counties she moved to Iola in 1967 and spent the remainder of her life in the little red house on Lincoln Street. Earlene spent most of her career working at the HR Miller and Sons dress factory. After retiring, she enjoyed serving lunch to the students at Lincoln Elementary School. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, sewing and dancing. She was a big Royals baseball fan. Those that knew her or even just knew of her knew all about her love for all things strawberry. She was a lifetime member of the VFW and enjoyed volunteering for the Historical Society. Earlene is survived by her boyfriend of 35 plus years, Ross Umholtz of LaHarpe, KS; two daughters: Glenda Beckerle and husband Mike of Lee's Summit, MO and JoAnn Grafton of Iola; six grandchildren: Karen Zawicki and husband Steve of Olathe, KS, Missy Ericson and husband Paul of Shawnee, KS, Steve Beckerle and wife Sarah of Independence, MO, Tiffany Burgess and husband Kevin of Wylie, TX, Jeff Thomas and wife Kim of Barnesville, GA, and Mike Grafton of Lompoc, CA; 23 great grandchildren; brother Larry Lombard and wife Dee of Higginsville, MO; sister-in-law Rosalie Lombard of Emporia, KS, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Leona Foster, and brothers Jack Lombard and Bob Lombard. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service of Iola. Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M. with the service following at 2:00. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery in Lone Elm, KS. Memorial contributions in honor of Earlene may be made to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility in lieu of flowers, and left with the funeral home.
