Edward M. Mann, 84, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016, at Allen County Regional Hospital. Ed was born September 16, 1932, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Hunter and Elizabeth (Moore) Mann. He grew up in the Atlanta area and served in the U.S. Army. He was a certified public accountant and had his own accounting firm in Atlanta. In 2000, Ed moved to Iola when he married Mary Ann (Smith) Taylor. He attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola. Ed enjoyed playing bridge, watching the Atlanta Braves and the Kansas City Royals play baseball, KU Jayhawks basketball, and Georgia Tech and Atlanta Falcons football. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Mann; one son, Tim Mann & his wife, Elaine and their children, Sarah and Phoebe of Largo, FL; 5 step-children, Tony Leavitt & wife, Barbara of Iola, Terry Coomes & husband, Rick of St. Paul, KS, Tina Stanley & husband, Jack of Lane, KS, Martin Taylor & wife, Janalin of Las Vegas, NV, and Michael Taylor & wife, Terry of Iola; 12 step-grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren; one brother, Hunter Mann & wife, Paula of Covington, GA, and several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Thomas Mann, son Joseph Mann and sister Charlotte Demarest. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola. Graveside services will be at the Floral Hills Cemetery in Tucker, Georgia.
