Eleanor Christine Pickert (Seck) passed away September 8, 2012 peacefully at her home in Overland Park with her family by her side. Eleanor was born January 8, 1924 in Wea, KS to Anna Christine and Lawrence Adam Seck. She grew up on the family farm with her four siblings, Bernice, Jerome, Gilbert (deceased) and Eileen. After high school, Eleanor moved to Kansas City. She went to work for Trans World Airlines (TWA) at the old KC municipal airport. While living in Kansas City, she was introduced to her future husband, Virgil through mutual friends. After her four children were in school, Eleanor went to work at the Catalog Desk for Sears Roebuck and Co. Following that, she began a lifelong career as a realtor, first for Hardin Stockton, then Coldwell Banker and finally JC Nichols. Eleanor was a lifelong cook and volunteered for Kansas Extension Service's Nutritional Education for many years. In addition, she sang in the Cure of Ars Parish choir, where she was a member for 54 years. Eleanor was a member of the social sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, for over 60 plus years in addition to another social "Club" group. Eleanor is survived by her four children: Randall Pickert and his wife Merrill, Gary Pickert and his wife Kriste; Lisa Pickert; and Lauren Pickert; Six Grandsons: Aaron Pickert and his wife Tessa and great grand daughter, Taylor Pickert. Christopher Pickert, Andrew Pickert, his wife Melanie and soon to be born Lucy Pickert; andTimothy Pickert. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, Leawood, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am for visitation, followed by the Rosary at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at 3:30 pm, at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Scipio, Kansas. You may send your condolences to the family at www.feuerbornfuneral .
