Eleanor Imbusch Williams, age 89, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott, Kansas. Eleanor was born August 28, 1920 at the family farm at Brazilton, Kansas, the daughter of Martin and Nora (Boettjer) Imbusch. She grew up in Brazilton, attending the Lutheran grade school. She graduated from high school at Girard. Following high school she taught at a country school east of Savonburg. On December 23, 1938 she married Hollis "Bill" Williams at Meade, Kansas. They worked at an orchard in Oregon for a few years before returning to Bill's family farm northeast of Savonburg. Eleanor was a homemaker and helped Bill on the farm. She was a member of the Friends Home Lutheran Church, and a neighborhood club at Savonburg. Eleanor was an excellent cook and loved her flowers. She and Bill enjoyed many travels, some of their trips included Australia and Europe. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in January of 2000; her parents, and her sister, Wilma Sandefur. She is survived by her brother, Merlin Imbusch and wife, Wilma, of Littleton, Colorado; her brother-in-law, Carol Sandefur of Wichita, Kansas; nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Friends Home Lutheran Church, Savonburg. The family will greet friends at 12:30 prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Brazilton, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends Home Lutheran Church. Condolences to the family may be sent to
