Elwin K. Dick, 94, of rural LaHarpe, Kansas, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Elwin was born March 5, 1921, on the family farm south of LaHarpe, Kansas, the son of Arthur C. and Altie A. ( Wordell ) Dick. He graduated from high school at Enterprise, Kansas, and then attended Union College and later the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. On July 26, 1942, he married Fern Jacobs and they made their home on a dairy farm south of LaHarpe. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2005. He was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Merlin Dick and wife Glynda of Heartsburg, Missouri, and Ken Dick and his wife Martha of LaHarpe. 1 daughter: Norma Cramer of Humboldt 1 brother: Dr. Clyde Dick of Greeley, Colorado 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Elwin was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Avery Dick, Dr. Willis Dick, and Dr. Marvin Dick Cremation has taken place.
