Erma (Peggy) Meadows, 83, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at her home. She was born February 24, 1926, at El Dorado, Kansas, the daughter of Herman A. and Sadie E. (Bryan) Folk. She attended school in Gas, Kansas, before moving to Illinois where she married Earnie R. Meadows on September 2, 1944 at Salem, Illinois. They started their life together following the pipeline for 36 years before making their home in Iola. Peggy was a member of the Covenant Of Faith Christian Center in Iola. Earnie and Peggy raised 5 children: Sharon Allen of Las Vegas, Barbara Brunell of Ogden, Utah, Leo (Buddy) Meadows of Iola, and David Meadows of Iola. Peggy's son Tony Meadows preceded her in death. Included are two son-in-laws, Dennis Allen and Maurice Brunell and three daughter-in-laws, Birdie Meadows, Marty Meadows and Nancy Meadows. There are 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by two brothers, Leo Folk of Iola, and Jerald Folk of Odessa, TX, and by a sister, Jeraldine Little of Kell, IL. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John "Bunch" Folk and Gene Folk and a sister, Lettie Laver. Cremation has taken place.
