Ernest Blazek

Ernest Paul Blazek, age 67, Iola, Kansas formerly of Dodge City, Kansas passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Fort Scott Mercy Health Center. He was born on October 30, 1948 at Great Bend, Kansas the son of Ernest Henry and Evelyn Wood Blazek. He married Carol Jeannie Kennedy on May 3, 1968. Paul was an Army Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War. He worked as a maintenance manager for the Fort Dodge Soldiers Home. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol on October 20, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons, Lant and Tracy Blazek, a daughter, Teresa Blazek, three sisters: Ruth Steffens, Patricia Griffith and Sheryl Degenhardt, and seven grandchildren. Per Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be inurned at Fort Dodge, Kansas at a later date during a private family gathering.
