Ervin Buller

November 2, 1938 — March 21, 2020

Ervin Buller, age 81, of Moran, Kansas, victoriously entered Heaven on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Moran Nursing Home in Moran, Kansas.

Ervin was born on November 2, 1938, on the family farm near Montezuma, Kansas. Ervin was the fourth of eight children born to Henry and Eva (Schmidt) Buller. He attended school in Montezuma. Ervin came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. Ervin’s interests included making things with his hands, fishing, hunting, and visiting with family and friends. He worked for his dad until he married Mary Ann Schmidt on March 29, 1959. Ervin and Mary Ann had a loving marriage and were blessed with three children, Kimma Clark, Kendy Johnson and Lark Walker. After marrying, Ervin worked at a variety of jobs including gas station owner, selling Shaklee/Nuts and Bolts, butcher, and custodian. Ervin was gifted with an uncanny ability to grade a site. He worked as an equipment operator for Max Jantz Excavating until his health no longer allowed him to continue.

In 1978, they had a Damascus experience when God radically changed their lives. They desired to share God’s love and worked together serving our Lord Jesus Christ, ministering to others which helped start Morningside Community Church in Montezuma. They attended there until God led them to other churches as the Holy Spirit directed. Ervin was known for being a happy person with the ability to talk to anyone, anywhere, sharing the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and praying for anyone who was in need. In 2016, Ervin’s health had declined to the point that they made the decision to move to Moran, Kansas, to be near their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimma Clark in 2010; granddaughter, Kimma Walker; two brothers, Franklin and wife, Virgie (Harms) Buller, and Clayton Buller; two sisters, Esther Koehn and husband, Warren, and Geneva Schmidt and husband, Don.

He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Mary Ann; two daughters, Kendy Johnson and husband, Dale; Lark Walker and husband, Chauncey; Steve Clark, husband of the late Kimma Clark; nine grandchildren, Joel Johnson and wife, Ryleigh; Michale and Elizabeth Johnson; Lilly Klick-Johnson, Anthony Parker and wife, Abby; Rachel Carpenter and husband, Jon; Kaitlyn Walker; Philip Clark and wife, Helen; Chelsea Clark; two great grandchildren, Sabrina and Nathaniel Clark; two brothers and one sister, John Buller and wife, Norma; Darlene Jantz and husband, Gary; Milton Buller and wife, Dee; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Buller and Lenora (Buller) Stark; and many nieces and nephews.
