Esther Weiland

Esther L. Weiland, 82, of Iola, Kansas, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at St. Francis-Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Esther was born August 29, 1932, on a farm west of Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Rollin Clifford and Nellie ( Bassett ) Butler. She moved to Iola where she graduated from Iola High School. On July 28, 1951, Esther married Leslie L. Weiland. They made their home in Neosho, Missouri, until moving to Iola in 1971. Esther had worked as a bank marketing representative for twenty years when she retired from Commercial Federal Bank. Les preceded her in death on December 4, 2014. Esther enjoyed growing flowers, reading, playing the organ, and golf. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
