Florence Irene Justice, age 83, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Golden Heights in Garnett, Kansas. She was born September 24, 1929, in Greeley, Kansas, the daughter of Paul A. and Teresa E. (Hastert) Volz. Florence married Carl "Stub" Mader on October 5, 1949 in Greeley, Kansas. This union was blessed with six children. They made their home in Greeley, Kansas. She married Luther W. Justice on January 5, 1987. They resided in Garnett, Kansas. She was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church and Altar Society; the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Anderson County Hospital Auxiliary. Florence was a homemaker, helped with the family farm, drove the school bus for thirteen years, and worked for S.R.S. until she retired. Florence was an avid walker, enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening, dancing and traveling. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Teresa Volz; five brothers, Ed Volz; Maurice Volz; Johnnie Volz; Leo Volz; and Anthony "Tony" Volz; one sister, Theresa Guilfoyle; and one grandson, Christopher Chitwood. Florence is survived by, her husband Luther Justice of Garnett, Kansas; two sons, Tom Mader and wife Cyndi of Edgerton, Kansas; Mike Mader and wife Kaylene of Gardner, Kansas; four daughters, Vickie Guilfoyle and husband Tom of Parker, Kansas; Helen Norman and husband Mike of Garnett, Kansas; Angie Chitwood and husband Gary of Garnett, Kansas; and Jeanine Stifter and husband Dan of Greeley, Kansas; stepson, Charles Justice and fianc Sharon of St. Joseph, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; brother and sisters, Mary Rockers of Iowa; Marjorie Fields of Oregon; Edna Mae Kellerman and husband Lee of Garnett, Kansas; Lucille Rockers and husband Butch of Garnett, Kansas; Barbara Katzer and husband Ben of Garnett, Kansas; and Robert Volz of Garnett, Kansas. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
