Frances "Betty" Boyd Seitz, age 89, of Parker, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at her home. She was born on November 26, 1925, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the daughter of Boyd B. and Emma E. (Hazen) Logan. Frances was known as "Betty" to her family and friends. She moved from Kentucky to Kansas as a child, and was raised in the Centerville area. Betty married Orlo Sullivan and became mother to Robert, Judy, Mary, Wayne, Flora, Ralph and Margaret. This marriage ended in divorce. She married Kyle Shafer on October 3, 1959, and had children, Kyle, Anna, Nancy, Clyde and Eldon. This marriage ended with Kyle's death in 1982. She worked cleaning homes for friends and neighbors in the Parker area. Betty also worked for Green Thumb Nutrition for several years serving dinners at the Parker Senior Center. She married George Seitz on March 3, 2000. They resided on George's farm near Fontana until 2009 when they moved to Parker. Betty loved to visit with everyone. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Betty loved to joke and tease, always making others feel loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Emma Logan; husband, Kyle Shafer; husband, George Seitz; two children, Judy and Eldon; and seven siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Parker, Kansas; with burial in Goodrich Cemetery.
