Frank Raymond Smith, age 85, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away February 15, 2021, at the Life Care Center of Burlington, Burlington, Kansas. Frank was born September 1, 1935, in Woodson County, Kansas, to Harry Smith and Margaret (Miller) Smith.
Frank graduated from Yates Center High School and then served his country in the Kansas Army National Guard. On December 27, 1958, he and Betty Williams were married in Miami, Oklahoma.
Frank enjoyed his trucking company, which he owned and operated his entire adult life. Frank loved to fish and hunt, and he loved helping his wife with the farm and cattle.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, on June 1, 2016; his parents; one brother, Kenneth Roy Smith; one sister, Juanita M. Peters.
Frank is survived by his children, Janice Jones (Jerry), Yates Center, Kansas, Patricia Kubler, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jeff Smith (Teresa), Yates Center, Kansas; ten grandchildren, Tara Franklin, Audrey Compton, Sullivan Jones, Justin Kubler, Sarah Kubler-Burress, Dalton Smith, Aubrey Smith, Amy Smith, Alex Ballard, Natalie Ballard; eight great-grandchildren, Zoe Franklin, Hannah Franklin, Arcadia Compton, Caydence Compton, Annabelle Burress, Thomas Burress, Daxton Smith, Layla Smith; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
No services are planned at this time. Frank will be inurned next to his wife in the Yates Center Cemetery, Yates Center, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Hand In Hand Hospice, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
