Frank H. Wuckowitsch, age 90, of Greeley, Kansas passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Anderson County Long Term Care Facility, Garnett. Frank was born March 16, 1920, at Garnett, the son of Frank and Sophia (Zormeier) Wuckowitsch. He grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School. Following school he joined the United States Army, serving in the medical corps in Burma, during WWII. Following the service he returned to Greeley and began farming. He also worked for many years as a butcher at the Galey Locker Plant in Garnett. He married Evelyn F. Anglen on September 9, 1972 at Greeley, Kansas. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2003. Frank was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus; and the Greeley V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, and coon hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Sophia Wuckowitsch; his wife, Evelyn Wuckowitsch; four sisters, Regina Huettenmueller; Anna Gengul; Marie Katzer; and Veronica Miller; and two brothers, John and Norbert Wuckowitsch. He is survived by three sons, Walter Church and wife Marieta of Kansas City, Kansas; Roger Church and wife Pam of Crawford, Colorado; Jim Church of Montrose, Colorado; one daughter, Carol Morehouse and husband Terry of Seymour, Missouri; one sister, Helen Wuckowitsch of Kansas City, Kansas; five grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
