George Lofton

George Earl Lofton,70, of Neosho Falls, Kansas, died Tuesday July 15, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born May 16, 1944, in DeSoto, Kansas the son of LeRoy and Frances Lofton. He grew up in the Kansas City, Kansas, area. On May 8, 1965, he married Linda F. Sater and they made their home in Kansas City. He worked for Branded Emblem until moving to Neosho Falls in 1990. His wife preceded him in death on May 3, 2002. He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church in Piqua before becoming a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Yates Center. Survivors: Three daughters; Cindy Moore of Minden, Louisiana, Teresa Jackson of Iola, and Paula Lofton of Neosho Falls. One brother; Roy Three sisters; Eva, Sharon, and Frances Five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lee and a sister, Betty. A visitation will be held Thursday evening, July 17th at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 18th at St. Martins Cemetery in Piqua.
