Georgia J. Lohr, age 81, of Garnett passed away Saturday, August 02, 2008 at the Golden Heights Living Center, Garnett, Kansas. She was born October 19, 1926 at Colony, Kansas, the daughter of George Herbert and Clara Louise (Robbins) Bunnel. She grew up in Colony, graduating from high school there in 1944. Following high school she worked at the Colony Grain Elevator, becoming the manager before moving to Washington. She was united in marriage to Leslie Ernest Lohr on August 28, 1969 in Snohomish, Washington. She worked as a bookkeeper for the McKennon Dairy Farm in Monroe, Washington. They moved back to Colony for short time before moving to Arizona in 1977, where they owned and operated a service station. They returned to Kansas in 1997 living in Garnett then Ottawa. She returned to Garnett, following the death of her husband, living at Parkside Place Apartments. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leslie, April 25, 2003, and one brother, Alfred Bunnel, and one sister, Helen Luedke. Georgia is survived by one brother, Ralph Bunnel, of Colony, Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
