Georgia Maxine Moore, age 87, of Centerville, Kansas, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010, at the Anderson County Hospital, Garnett, Kansas She was born on July 30, 1922 at Welda, Kansas, the daughter of George M. and Lola May (Serene) Fagg. She graduated from Welda High School, and was baptized at an early age at the Welda Methodist Church. Georgia loved playing softball in the shortstop position and entered many tournaments. She also enjoyed sewing. She married Loren Moore and this union was blessed with two children, Nancy and Larry. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lola May Fagg; three sisters, Mary Mae Durst; Lola Faye Williams and Edith F. Fagg; four brothers, Thomas L. Fagg; Marion B, Fagg; Roderick L. Fagg; and Infant John Fagg. She is survived by her spouse, Kenneth Knight of the home; her son, Larry Myron Moore and wife Diane of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; her daughter, Nancy Jane Whiteman of Bossier City, Louisiana; one brother, George Fagg of El Dorado, Kansas; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, burial to follow at the Centerville Cemetery, Centerville, KS. The family will be present to greet friends on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
