Georgie Harrison

Georgie Oneida Harrison, age 80, of Iola, Kansas, passed away January 29, 2023, at Medicalodges of Iola, Iola, Kansas. Georgie was born March 16, 1942, in Iola, Kansas, to George Harrison and Hazel (Culbertson) Harrison.

Georgie attended school in Gas, Kansas. She worked as a pottery painter in California for US Pottery and she did housekeeping at the Best Western Motel in Iola, Kansas.

Georgie enjoyed crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, and her pets. She had a great sense of humor and was known for her wit.

Georgie was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Susan (Roush) Harrison.

Georgie is survived by siblings, Georjean Friend, Iola, Kansas, Beth Griffeth, Iola, Kansas, Bill (Debbie) Harrison, Iola, Kansas, Jesse Harrison, Iola, Kansas, Floyd (Brenda) Harrison, Chanute, Kansas, Lester (Sharon) Harrison, Chanute, Kansas, Loretta Benenati, Washington; and numerous relatives and friends.

A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2023, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), which may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
