Glenn R. Bratsch, age 85, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his home.
He was born on January 31, 1938, to Gene and Marjorie Bratsch in Illinois. A true independent from the beginning, he left home at the age of thirteen and made his own way in life. When Glenn was almost old enough, he joined the Air Force and served his country including a deployment in Africa.
After leaving the military, he logged millions of miles as a truck driver through various companies, retiring from ABF. He was a strong supporter of Unions.
Glenn enjoyed fishing, dancing at Piqua, driving his Ford Mustang, watching Westerns and listening to the Outlaw Blues station. He hated cell phones and technology in general.
He will be fondly remembered as someone who never met a stranger, who shared stories, who did what he could to help others. He was a member of the American Legion and helped with the 4-H.
Glenn is survived by his four children Rick Scott and family, Bill Bratsch (Kristi) and family, Rita Rush (Bruce) and family, and Ashley Bratsch and family; plus his partner Cheryl Korte of Gas, Kansas.
