Glenna Harclerode

Glenna Ann "Penny" Harclerode, 60, of Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at her home. She was born July 14, 1948, at Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Roy and Pauline (Damron) Blevins. She grew up between Toronto and Iola. Penny was married to James Harclerode and they made their home in Florida. After his death, she moved to Missouri to be near family and returned to Iola ten years ago. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. She also helped with the Red Cross and at the American Legion with meals and banquets. SURVIVORS: Companion: Jack Womack of Iola, Kansas 2 Sons: Todd Hamilton of Orlando, FL; and Jason Hamilton & wife, Jennifer of Daytona Beach, FL 1 Daughter: Leanna "Missy" Porter & her husband, Dustin of Iola, Kansas 5 Grandchildren: Trent Hamilton, Lauren Hamilton, Seth Hamilton, Brittany & Caleigh Porter 6 Siblings: Sam, Clinton, Mike, Paula, Gloria and Norma She was preceded in death by her parents. VISITATION: 7:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at St. John's Parish Center in Iola, Kansas. ROSARY & MASS: The parish rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2009, followed by the celebration of the mass at 10:30 a.m., both at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. The Rev. Robert B. Wachter will be celebrant. Burial will be at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery in Daytona Beach, Florida, later in the week.
