Goldie Eleanor (Hale) Gull, age 92, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Residential Living Center, Garnett, Kansas. She was born August 22, 1922, at Mapleton, Kansas, the daughter of Ray and Rosa (Hartman) Hale. On September 27, 1938, she married Joseph David Gull at Mound City, Kansas. This union was blessed with two sons, Wilbur Ray and Ronald David. Wilbur lost his life in a car accident in Castle Rock, Colorado in 1968. She was a housewife and worked as an interior decorator where she met many friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. Joe and Goldie celebrated their 50th anniversary on September of 1988. They enjoyed a wonderful life together. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Goldie will be missed by her family and friends. Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Rosa Hale; husband, Joseph Gull on June 3, 1998; two sons, Wilbur Gull and Ronald Gull; two brothers, Roland Ray and Jesse "Bus" Hale; sister, Juanita Turner. She is survived by sister, Lucille Davis of Topeka, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Dennis and Steven Meyer of Garnett, Kansas, Amanda Johnson of Blue Mound, Kansas, Kaci Gull of Ottawa, Kansas, Kari Smith of Iola, Kansas, Britnee Gull of Ottawa, Kansas, Hannah Miller of Alachua, Florida; nine great grandchildren, Anthony, Bryce, Haylee, Jaci, Jeremy, Jordan, Rhiley, Sadie, and Trent. Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Kincaid Cemetery, Kincaid, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Residential Living Center.
