Grace Hartman

Grace M. Hartman, 91, of Iola, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Windsor Place in Iola. Grace was born January 3, 1921, on a farm west of Iola, the daughter of Rollin and Nellie (Bassett) Butler. She married Walter L. Hartman and they made their home on a farm near Humboldt. They moved to Iola and lived until moving to the Lake of the Ozarks area. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1991. In December of 2008, she returned to Iola. Grace was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Iola. SURVIVORS: 2 Children: Kenneth Dale Hartman and Marie Lou Meier 2 Sisters: Agnes Hammer and Esther Weiland both of Iola, KS 2 Granddaughters She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mildred Heffernon and Marian Hood. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Highland Cemetery in Iola. MEMORIAL: First Church of the Nazarene Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
