Grace Mae Macklin, age 95, of Greeley, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Golden Heights in Garnett, Kansas. Grace was born on August 27, 1915, in Greeley, Kansas, the daughter of Orn and Margaret Leah (Nolte) Fox. She graduated from Parker Rural High School in 1933. She was united in marriage to Ralph T. Macklin on May 31, 1939 at the United Brethren parsonage by the Reverend Joseph Cowan. They resided on a farm east of Greeley for 34 years. At age 12, Grace was converted and accepted Christ as her Lord and Master, becoming a member of the United Brethren Church of Greeley. In 1980 she was baptized by immersion, and became a member of the Assembly of God Church of Garnett, Kansas. She served there for many years as organist, adult Sunday School teacher, Treasurer, and various other church offices. Grace was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by two sons, John Kent Macklin and wife Linda of Pleasanton, Kansas; and Raleigh Keith Macklin and fianc Lois Roberts of Garnett, Kansas; six grandchildren, Brent Macklin, Lynetta Logan, Amy Rowlands, Kimberly Wittman, Flint Macklin, and Jill Foltz; twelve great grandchildren; and many other relatives, neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Greeley City Cemetery in Greeley, Kansas. Family will be present to greet friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service on Tuesday morning.
