Harold K. (Snooks) Thornhill

Harold Keith (Snooks) Thornhill, age 82, of Iola, Kansas, passed away July 24, 2022, at Allen County Regional Hospital, Iola, Kansas. Snooks was born September 3, 1939, in Iola, Kansas, to Russell C. Thornhill and Vina Thornhill.

Snooks attended school in Iola. He worked a short time in pipeline construction, then Coca Cola Bottling Company in Iola, and he retired after 25+ years at Intercollegiate Press, Iola, Kansas.

Snooks and Barbara JoAnne Thornhill were married in Oklahoma on June 23, 1975.

Snooks loved fast cars, hotrods, playing pool, and Jack Daniels Whiskey.

Snooks was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers; and one sister-in-law.

Snooks is survived by one brother, Larry (Teresa) Thornhill, Richmond, Kansas; niece, Tina Kelley, Piqua, Kansas; brother-in-law, Marvin McCullough, Iola, Kansas; sister-in-law, Barbara Thornhill, LaCanto, Florida; step-brother, David (Carol) Cescon, Iola, Kansas; step-sisters, Teresa (Roger) Turton, Buffalo, New York, Nancy (Fred) Haas, Tonawanda, New York; and numerous other family and friends.

A graveside service to honor Snook's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022, in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
