Harriet Elizabeth Kellerman

Harriet Elizabeth Kellerman, age 73, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at her home. She was born on March 10, 1938, at Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter, of Harry and Nettie Jane (Black) Kellerman. Her family moved to Blue Springs, Missouri in the 1950's. Harriet married Fred Kellerman, Sr. on June 6, 1956 in Blue Springs, Missouri. This union was blessed with four children. They made their home in the Welda area until 1967 when they moved to Garnett. While in Garnett, Harriet operated the Cedar Shoppe beauty salon out of their home. In 1977 they moved to Greeley, living there until moving to their current residence in 1994. Harriet continued to cut hair in individual's homes and area nursing homes. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Garnett, Kansas. Harriet loved to go fishing, work in her garden and take care of her flowers. She also enjoyed taking care of her goats and little dogs. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Nettie Kellerman and one son, Michael L. Kellerman on Nov, 5, 2000; brother, James Kellerman. She is survived by her husband, Fred Kellerman, Sr., of the home; her sons, Fred Kellerman, Jr. of Garnett, Kansas; Danial Lee Kellerman and wife, Teresa, of Scranton, Kansas; daughter, Barbara Jane Dewald of Emporia, Kansas; and a foster daughter, Shawna Beth Garber; 9 grandchildren; and 3 beloved dogs. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett. Burial to follow in the Cherry Mound Cemetery, Westphalia.
