Hazel E. Leedy, age 78, of Neosho Falls, Kansas passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at her home.
Hazel was born March 3, 1941 in Rushville, Illinois. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Sara (Davis) Crumley. She graduated from Astoria High School in Astoria, Illinois in 1959. On October 25, 1959 she married Jay Leedy in Rushville, Illinois. Their union was blessed with two children.
Hazel enjoyed quilting and collecting Precious Moments figurines. She was a member of the Neosho Falls United Methodist Church where she played piano for a number of years. You could also find her down at the Senior Center playing cards with friends and family.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay Leedy; two brothers, Phillip and Wayne Crumley; and one sister, Mary Hamblin.
Hazel is survived by two sons, Mark Leedy and Kenneth Leedy (Susan) of Yates Center, Kansas; one brother, John Crumley (Betty) of Indianapolis, Indiana; two granddaughters, Caitlin Milner (Michael) of Americus, Kansas, Morgan DeNoon (Caleb) of Fort Riley, Kansas; one great-granddaughter, Laurel Milner of Americus, Kansas; and numerous other family members.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Hazel will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Neosho Falls United Methodist Church.
