Jack Fronk, 85, of Iola, Kansas, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. Jack was born September 10, 1925, on a farm located in southeast Allen County, Kansas, the son of Harry and Ethel (Bennett) Fronk. He graduated from LaHarpe High School and then served in the United States Navy during World War II from November 1943 until June of 1946. On April 4, 1946, Jack married Prudence Lower and they made their home in Iola. He worked for the City of Iola 42 years retiring as superintendent of the power plant. He was a member of the Iola American Legion, Chanute Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Calvary United Methodist Church. SURVIVORS: His wife of 64 years: Prudy Fronk of the home 1 Daughter: Aimee Sue Billingsley of Iola, Kansas 1 Sister: Hazel Sutter of Tulsa, Oklahoma 2 Grandsons: Dan Billingsley and Jeff Billingsley and his wife, Stacey 2 Great Granddaughters: Stephanie and Kristin He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Fronk, 4 brothers, Glenn, Eddie, Bob and Walter and 3 sisters, Alice, Golda and Mary Lou. VISITATION: 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. The Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate.
