Ione Faye Gineste, 85, of Gas, Kansas, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola. Ione was born July 8, 1930, at Mapleton, Kansas, the daughter of Newton G. and Lula Mae (Needham) Myrick. She graduated from Blue Mound High School in 1948 and Kansas City Secretarial School in 1949. On October 11, 1950, Ione married Billy B. Bills in Bentonville, Arkansas. They had two children, Craig and Becky. Ione worked for Atomic Energy Communication of Kansas City for two years. The family moved to Iola in 1960. Billy preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1973. She has worked for Welcome Wagon, JC Penney's, Idea Shop and Keys Overall Factory in Ft. Scott, Kansas, before working for the Kansas Department of Agriculture and Kansas Department of Transportation for 25 years. She was a member of the After 5 EHU and was an active member in her church, The Community of Christ. Ione married Charles L. Gineste of Moran in 1974. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter Becky Linthicum & husband, Randy of LaHarpe, KS and son Craig Bills & wife, Mary of Springfield, MO; step-daughter Tammy Miller & husband, Rick of Moran, KS; brother Ralph (Mike) Myrick & wife, Pat of Pleasanton, KS; 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 15 great grandchildren. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Mapleton Cemetery in Mapleton, Kansas.
