Irene A. Bronson Kaszinski, age 99, of Garnett, Kansas, formerly of Jasper, Missouri, passed away October 7, 2016 at Golden Heights, Garnett. Irene Alma Salefsky was the fourth of ten children born to Albert and Martha Salefsky. She was born on September 26, 1917 at Coleman, Wisconsin. Irene grew up in Coleman, attending school there. In 1936 she married Harold E. Anderson at Waukegan, Illinois. This union was blessed with one son, Richard. They made their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until Harold passed away and she later moved to Centralia, Missouri. In 1944 Irene married William “Bill” Bronson, this union was blessed with one daughter, Madalene. In 1949 they made their home in Jasper, Missouri where they owned and operated the Conoco Station. Bill preceded her in death in 1968. In 1983 Irene married Ed Kaszinski, they made their home in Marinette, Wisconsin, living there until Ed passed away in 1992. She then moved to Joplin, Missouri to be near her children. In 2013 Irene moved to Garnett, Kansas to be near her granddaughter where she lived at Golden Heights. Irene enjoyed playing all types of games; however she was particularly fond of Bingo and Skip Bo and video poker. Irene loved to dance, especially a Polka. She enjoyed her family and looked forward to visits from them. Irene enjoyed a long life but more importantly she lived a long life, remaining active until a well advance age. She was able to enjoy her first motorcycle ride a few weeks before her passing. Irene was preceded by all of her husbands; six brothers, Ed, Walter, Emmett, Lawrence, Henry, and George; two sisters, Evelyn and Sylvina. She is survived by her son, Richard Anderson and his wife, Ginger, of Carthage, Missouri; her daughter, Madalene McAllister and husband, Jim, of Garnett, Kansas; five grandchildren, Paula Sjorlund, Stanley Anderson, Daniel Gordon, John Yates, and Richard K. Anderson; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Laverne Grady of Joplin, Missouri. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Golden Heights, Garnett. The family will greet friends following the service.
