Jack F. Leake

Jack Franklin Leake, age 71, of Iola, Kansas, passed away December 1, 2023, at his residence. Jack was born October 15, 1952, in Colony, Kansas.

Jack graduated in 1971 from Marmaton Valley High School, Moran, Kansas. He and Laurie Witchley were married February 21, 1980, in Iola, Kansas.

Jack worked as a machine operator for Gates Rubber Company for 27 years, retiring in 2014.

Jack enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He played on a pool league for many years, even competing in Las Vegas. Jack liked to work on his Mustang and go cruising in it.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; brothers, Roy Leake, Dave Leake; and son, David Leake.

Jack is survived by his children, Joe (Heather) Leake, Elizabeth Leake; grandchildren, Hayden Kelley, Alexys Leake, Tyler Leake; brothers, Steven (Linda) Leake, Scott (Lorena) Leake; and sisters, Jane (Lee) Gilbert, Mary Carter, Barbara Moorehouse, Patricia Kress.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
