Jim Daniel Mulcahey, age 81, of Garnett, Kansas passed away on August 28, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on May 13, 1928, at Amiot, Kansas, the son of Michael Joseph Mulcahey and Rose Ella Minnehan. Jim was born, raised and resided in the family homestead. He farmed and raised cattle all of his life. Jim enjoyed time with his family, bowling and drinking coffee with his buddies. He obtained his Real Estate License and worked for Page/Foltz Realty in Garnett, Kansas. Jim was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Emerald, Kansas and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Rose Mulcahey; two brothers, Michael and Ray; four sisters, Millie, Dorothy, Helen, and Rita. Jim is survived by his sister, Alice Lucille Halleman and husband George of Southfield, Michigan, many nieces, nephews and many friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Emerald with burial to follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett.
