Janet Alexander, age 63, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, Kansas.
"Everybody has skeletons in their closet, and you all know who you are (insert Janet's laughter)."
Janet Kay Wall was born on July 31, 1958, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the second of three daughters born to Earl Junior and Mary Jane (Feuerborn) Wall. Janet grew up on the family farm west of Richmond, Kansas. She graduated from Central Heights High School in 1976. Janet met and married R.W. Snow, Jr., they were blessed with one daughter, Ellen Kay Snow. They later divorced. Janet was an incredibly hard worker throughout her life, unfortunately for her she didn't choose the most favorable working conditions, fiberglass facilities, grain elevators and the bar. She worked at Rigidform in Richmond and then Guidon in Paola before working at Astro in Garnett, making truck toppers at all three places. She worked at Beachner Grain in Garnett for many years. Janet also sold Hoegemeyer Seed. Throughout 37 of her working years she also worked at the Scipio Supper Club. In 2021 Janet sold the supper club after 17 years as owner and operator. However, she continued working there until her passing. For her customers at the supper club, Janet was one of a kind, and for her employees, they may have been glad that there was only one Janet. Just as hard as Janet worked, she loved having a good time. She loved riding her motorcycle and attending concerts with friends, (Mr. Kid Rock, feel free to send some love as Janet attended lots of your concerts and cruises). Janet was fortunate to be able to enjoy many trips with assorted friends, in later years many of those trips were commemorated with a tattoo. To know Janet was knowing how she loved being around the pool or on a beach working on her tan. On cloudy days, she may be found making a trip to one of the area casinos. One of her greatest joys was enjoying her vinyl records with her granddaughter, Jaelyn. Her acts of kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Junior Wall on December 17, 1984; and her sister, Lois Mersman Guilfoyle on April 24, 1997.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Ellen Leyser and husband, Jason of Garnett; granddaughter Jaelyn; her mother, Mary Jane Wall of Greeley, Kansas; sister, Leah Wulfkuhle and husband, Kenny of Perry, Kansas; nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 27, 2022, at St. John's Catholic Church, Greeley, Kansas. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Scipio, Kansas. The family will greet friends following a 5:00 PM rosary Sunday evening at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to W.I.N.G.S. and left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
