Jason D. Lewis, age 32, of Bronson, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola, Kansas, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born on August 22, 1977 at Morris, Minnesota, the son of Britt Edward Lewis and Mary Lee (Stewart) Michael. He grew up in Bronson attending Iola Grade Schools and graduating from Moran High School in 1996. He went to work for Local #798 out of Tulsa, Oklahoma as a cross country pipeliner. Jason loved to rebuild old cars, race trucks, loved to fish and was just a lover of the outdoors. He also loved baseball and music. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Britt Edward Lewis in June 2008; his sister; Tina Britt Lewis on August 18, 2007. Jason is survived by one son, Jarren D. Lewis and one daughter, Jacey Marie Lewis, both of Chanute, Kansas; one sister, Lisa D. Tice of LaHarpe, Kansas; one brother, Edward Wayne Lewis of Blue Mound, Kansas; his mother, Mary Michael and husband Van of Burnet, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran, Kansas. Burial to follow at Bronson Cemetery, Bronson, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends at the funeral home in Moran on Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Education Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
