Jerry L. Criqui, age 68 of Garnett, Kansas, died on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at his home in Garnett. Jerry was born on April 10, 1940, in Quenemo, Kansas, the son of Joseph Andrew Criqui and Eva Bell (Heile) Criqui. He attended Quenemo High School, graduating with the Class of 1959. Jerry served in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Marcia Borror on June 30, 1967, in Garnett, Kansas. Two sons were born to this union. Jerry was a member of the United Brethren of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, watching KU and the Royals, and John Wayne westerns, but most of all he enjoyed his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Leo, Clyde and Eldon. Jerry is survived by his wife, Marcia Criqui of the home; Andrew D. Criqui and wife Kristi of Garnett, Kansas; Jerry L. Criqui II and wife Michelle of Eudora, Kansas; brothers-in-law Franklyn Borror and wife Roberta of Garnett, Kansas; Max Borror of Garnett, Kansas; sisters-in-law Judith Shephard and husband Elmo of Lawrence, Kansas; Constance Turner and husband Clayton of Lawrence, Kansas; and five grandchildren, Heather Goodlett, Brooklyn Criqui, Nathaniel Criqui, Nevaeh Criqui, and Samuel Criqui. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 30, 2009, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, with burial to follow at the Garnett Cemetery.
