Jerry Sutton, age 65, of Welda, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his home. He was born on June 30, 1950 at Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Howard and Jewel (Rausch) Sutton. Jerry attended Greeley High School and joined the United States Army, serving from 1968 to 1972. He was stationed in Germany and Vietnam. Jerry married Valli Reppert on July 3, 1976 at Garnett, Kansas. This union was blessed with five children. He worked at Taylor Forge Engineering for many years retiring in 2015. He enjoyed mowing and tinkering in the garage. Jerry loved to fish and shoot blue rock. He was preceded in death by his parents; and half-brother, Carl Duncan. Jerry is survived by his wife, Valli Sutton, of the home; children, Adam Sutton and wife Sarah of Garnett; Niki Sutton and Shane Owens of Lansing, Kansas; J.D. Sutton and Carl Sutton of Garnett, Kansas; Tiffany Heslip of Ozark, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Shiloh Sutton, Dominic Sutton, Leah Sutton, Issac Richardson, Connor Owens, Elexis Heslip and Nathaniel Heslip; sisters, Janie Diedel and husband Glen of Olathe, Kansas; Lolita Worley and husband Edd of Grant City, Missouri; and Evelyn Sutton of Lenexa, Kansas; half-brother, Irvin Duncan of Schertz, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday August 3, 2015, at Garnett Cemetery, Garnett, Kansas. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Jerry Sutton Memorial Fund.
