Jessie Patrick

Jessie L. Patrick, 92, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. Jessie was born December 30, 1917, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, the daughter of Sigle Arthur and Iva (Kennedy) Pruitt. She grew up in Centerville, Kansas, and graduated from Kincaid High School. Following graduation, Jessie moved to Iola and worked at the South Street Cafe. On January 16, 1938, Jessie married DeLane "Pat" Patrick and they made their home in Iola. She worked as a sales clerk for the Sears Store for 20 years retiring in 1972. Mr. Patrick preceded her in death on February 23, 2002. Jessie was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Iola. She loved her church and worked with the Guild Girls, a youth organization, for many years. SURVIVORS: 2 Daughters: Patricia Rahmeier & husband, Leonard of LeRoy, KS and Elaine Caldwell & husband, Howard of Iola, KS 4 Grandchildren: Kurt Rahmeier, Diann Hoag, Darrin Caldwell and Danelle Collins 8 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Burris and Arthur Pruitt, and 3 sisters, Verna McGraw, Jean Ross and Ruth Thomassan. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate.
